Hello, I am looking for some current info on Hunt Transportation. I have been driving for 13 years now with 3 years on flatbed/ stepdeck. I have doe some oversize and would like to go to a company that will move you up to RGN's. Does any one have any info on them? Thank you in advance for your help.

GLN76 Thanks this. -
You can surely do better with 13 yrs driving and 3 pulling a deck, don't do that to yourself

Yea that's also why valmot (valley irrigation) in valley, Nebraska doesn't use owner operators. Hunt has the big contract to haul for valmont. I don't know much about hunt but here's what I can tell you. They are a division of Crete carrier corp. Or connected to them somehow. I used to live in lincoln Nebraska which is where creates based out of and they have hunt trailers and trucks parked at creates corporate office in Lincoln. They have updated equipment recently. They're running 53 retinours cal legal fixed spreads (flats) all aluminum with a mix of prostars and century's from what I hhave seen. Honestly I don't think to highly of hunt because they're connected to crete I personally hate Crete like every other mega they drive rates down to nothing so the independents can't make anything. And they don't train much on load securent. Last hunt truck I seen was at a truck stop in hastings. Moron was hauling spools of cable on the front snd had a bob cat on the back of the trailer. Every other time I've seen spools they were chained with at least 2 chains
when loaded suicide. This hunt driver had the spools strapped and had 2 chains on the Bob cat (legal kinda but didn't have the bucket chained or strapped. I just shook my head. I know I'm not the greatest skateboarder out there. I know I don't know everything about load securement but you chain the bucket on a Bob cat and you chain those spools.GLN76, seawind and runningman0661 Thank this. -
Thanks. Hadn't herd to much about them. Just knew they hire out here. Any good suggestions for a guy from Phoenix? I don't mind being out for a few months at a time.

Worked for swift when I first started out. No way I'd go with Werner. Currently drive for Roehl. They are ok for rookies but I'm looking for more then coils and dry wall. Wouldn't mind a lease purchase either. Have bee. Thinking
