Sweet man! My wife and I drove team for many years and did very, very well! Though the memories and adventures we had far out weighed any monetary accomplishments!
Husband/wife teams are treated like gold in the industry!
Just a personal recommendation, Central Refrigerated is a very good company to team for as far as husband/wife teams. They are large enough to keep you busy, yet small enough to still treat you like human beings! In fact, at Central we actually dealt straight with the planner instead of having a dispatcher. He knew how to keep us rolling! Central was very good to us and was always happy to help us with any problems we ever had and was eager to help us succeed! If you guys haven't yet found a company to drive for I highly recommend them!
They also have their own school so you could get started with no money upfront. They also pay for transportation and lodging and occasionally a few meals here and there.
If you have any questions feel free to "pm" me. I would be more than happy to help you out!
Good luck...
teaming with my english wife

Does he have his SSN yet?
Has he got his state driving license yet?, is it a "Conditional" green card?
If he has state DL and SSN then he has every right to get his CDL.
Did he come here on a CR1 visa?
Some situations will give you. SSN that has restrictions, but it actually tells you on the Ss. Card if it is restricted.Last edited: Mar 30, 2013

My boyfriend says go down to your local DMV and apply for the cdl permit test then find someone with a semi and take the road test also get a physical before getting your permit and find out if he has any restrictions on his green card.See if he can get his drivers report from Germany to prove he's a trk driver.

She's has the right to work on a "Conditional Green Card ", I was also From England, and on a conditional green card for 2 year, I went to the social security office, I got a SSN without restrictions! , I had to take a driving test to get my state license though, Haha something to do with wrong side of the road, and wrong side of the car

The lady in secretary of state told me....if I had of been from France,Germany any country that drove on the right,I could of just got my DL based on my UK license!
It say on the back of the GC........"The person identified by this card is authorized to work and residence in the U.S "
