The Monday you get back they will ask who is going to lease who is company. Then they will say they only have lease no company trucks. I said company must be the way to go of only lease trucks are getting turned in. LOL They didn't find it funny and made up excuses. They will tell you might have to go with trainer or go repo a abandoned truck or 2. They are just tring to scare you and see who will flip over to lease. Stick to your mind one way or another. The next day company trucks showed up and I got one but several changed over to lease so that's why they do it. It's a shame to resort to such tatics to get new truckers into their lease program. Guess that's why a lot fail at it. Even if you go out another week with a trainer don't sweat it you should really get more than 8 days with a trainer anyway. Yeah 8 days with 2 1/2 of it at his house.

I had 10 days of training and I drive every hour except 4 hours in that truck. I do my 11 and the trainer would have us stop for my 10. He never drive while I was on my 10.

How are you liking them now? how many miles do you average? I'm just trying to make sure I didn't get out of the military to get screwed over. I'll be ###### if I'm going to lease from the company giving me the miles to run.

when you get enough time in to have a clue what your doing you wont sit 51 hours
suck it up it is a job....learn the job and move on to a better one
no one forces anyone to do the things that get everyone in trouble so they are not making money
but transam is a STARTER co making starting pay
with brand new nice equipment you rookies can ruin

and what is the matter with going on a repo
flying into florida or somewhere picking up a load and driving back
    instead of sitting
you people complain before you know how to do the job
if your that smart why drive a truck or why didnt you just call walmart
and tell them you dont need the 5 year experience they require
and you would like to request top pay now

I think doing a repo would be better then sitting or like some of the other guys before were saying abut waiting for a company truck.

The miles are upper 2k to 3k just depends on you. I keep in touch with others from my orientation group. I am running as much as the leaser's. I haven't been out too long though. There are some on the forum that are successful with the lease and can give you advice on it. It just wasn't right for me.

there are miles every week if you learn to manipulate the situation your in
if you lease you can refuse loads but you need to be there long enough to know when to hold them when to fold them
took a 100 mile run yesterday never complained and got a 2100 mile run after that

Nothing is wrong with the repo I would rather do that than sit. I was just pointing out what they said. I t wasn't a complaint. The only thing I didn't like was the way they pushed the lease on people who said they wanted to go company. Other than that it has been great. My trainer was great very helpful and I learned a lot. I actually think another week wouldn't have been a bad thing.
