Stevens Transport. I say Stevens because they run APU's and Swift does not. Also, from what I hear from drivers, they get treated better. Better equipment though the freight will be different compared to Swift. You will be running a reefer compared to a dry van at Swift. Also, the trucks seemed to be spec'd out nicer. Being in Dallas, you might want to check out Schneider as well.

Stevens for sure. Swift isnt all that bad and Prime is OK as well. Mostly it comes down to what is a better fit for you. I may Love company A and the next guy may hate them. Its all is what your looking for. Do your research based on what you are looking to get out of the company your choosing.

Haha, No there's not a difference! They both suck. I have a picture of a Swifty driver with his truck in the middle of a lake (see below)! How did he end up in there??? With Stevens if you have to lure drivers in with brand new trucks, probably means they don't care too much about the driver. With those reefer loads prepare to sit for a long time at shippers and consignees. Prime also has the slowest trucks on the road and whatever you do, don't do there lease-purchase unless you wanna pay out the butt for your truck!

Stevens is a good place to start but like members previously stated steer clear of swift or you will be bankrupt in a year or two. As for prime i tried them out and i should've stay in Dallas and went to Stevens like i am wither this Monday or the 15th of this month.

Stevens without a doubt. Swift pays new drivers by the hour while out during your mentor phase of training 240 hours. 200-300 a week. Stay far far far away. Just went through training and have been with swift for six months. Worse mistake ever...

I agree Mc donalds or Burger King would be better than any company mentioned so far. After 11 yrs I would steer clear of driving period. A lot has changed for the worse the last 11 yrs. exwallydawg doesn't tell you Koch is paying a 2500 dollar recruiting bonus. Koch is average at best.
