1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

i am thinking about driving for marten.
looking for any drivers who have any experience past or present with them . was wondering what shippers and receivers i would wind up going to on the 48 state fleet and if their is a lot of detention.
how many PAID miles can i get a week.
    have a happy new year

i too, am possibly considering martian.

    i don't think he's a recruiter anymore--back to a driver, but you can e-mail him.

    My main concerns would be:
1)How many miles can i get per week?
2)How is the scheduling as far as delivery/pickup times? Are they erratic---picking up a 2am, delivering at 5pm the next day? Or relatively stable hours?
    3) It is not easy to sleep with most refers. Hopefully martian has the "whisper quiets" by thermo king.

if you run out of the mid west you do orientation either in indy or mondovi wi.
you haul a lot of budweiser out of ny, kraft foods out of chicago, general mills out of w chicago most of the drops are multi stop loads they pay extra for after the first one. they all wind up at a food warehouse where you will wait a long , long time to get unloaded.
they pay the same c.p.m. if you do a 2,000 mile trip or a 200 mile trip.
