I don't know if this helps but it went like this- back in 1994 the guy i was working for bought 2 Pete's they were supposed to be repo's they had low miles and were no more than 6 months old when he got them the one i drove was a good truck about ten years later it needed a frame out rebuild and for the first time we sent it to a peterbuilt dealer in northern Illinois and they found a few things about the truck we never knew, i guess the truck had been stolen from a Pete dealer and stripped down than when it was recovered it was rebuilt from about 5 other trucks based on numbers found in or on different parts, the dealer showed us where all those trucks came from and the last known owners (those parts came from all over the map) we even knew who rebuilt the truck as well now the reason the dealer had that information was some kind of car-fax like system. in my opinion and since that looks like a fine truck you had give the rig-dig a try I think that was the service the Pete dealer used in our situation.
