Trying to decide if coming to this company is a good idea or not. I'm alrdy got a pretty decent gig. But don't really have much time with family even tho I'm home everyday. Plus the wife nags more need a break lol. Sleep 6 hrs and start all over again with the work day. Anyhow irt wants me to come down for orientation told em to give me a few weeks to decide. Say then run allot of northeast with no ez pass I can only imagine what that costs. You run allot of toll roads or avoid em?? I'm looking forward to getting into tankers. I'm grossing about 1100 a week now is it safe to say I can get that with irt?? Anyhow I could go on but my lds calling.

If you are consistently making 1100 a week at your current job, I would suggest staying put. I think the other guys would agree.bwajla Thanks this.

Yep, the holiday slow'd everything down (supposedly)! I couldn't even get a load off of the port and ended up running milk out of Montezuma, Ga instead.
I'd stay with the home every night and the $1,100 a week, unless the wife is that unbearable. But you can make it here, just not constantly. So much for the tolls, if they're that big of a deal you can just ask for a T-Chek and use that money to pay your tolls, just make sure you turn in the receipts. You can dodge pretty much all of them if you want to as long as you don't go into Canada. But running from Florida to Connecticut in a week and back south can run close if not over $300 if you hit all the tolls.bwajla Thanks this. -
sitting in va going to high point nc then to montezuma then home for hometime yall be good

i'm not quiting or anything. it's just that i'm pretty much a north east regional driver. i spend my entire month on the road running juice from nj back into canada.. well i came back out last week and i guess freight was slow so they had me running the south east. new shippers, new receivers. i had been running to the same shippers and receivers for so long that i had forgot how much it sucked running the system (getting bounce'd around the country) getting lost following bad directions, being completely clueless at the shippers and receivers, just wondering around looking for someone to help me out. i'm not a fan of that b.s. i got my fill of it when i was with Knight.
