A lot of these companies that have an age requirement are probably not going to be able to recruit folks in a couple more years. With the increase in the cost of the 2007 models due to the new EPA motors, it's going to get harder to afford the "newer" used trucks in the future.
Mine's a 2000 in excellent shape. I have a mechanic that knows my truck, and it gets PMed at regular intervals. A company that won't hire me because my truck is older than 5 or 6 years is missing out.ponway Thanks this. -

You are correct...I have noticed that a lot of companys have already done away with the year model req. As long as it will pass DOT insp. I surely wouldn't go into debt for a newer truck just to go to work for a company.
Just my 2 cents worth!!!!uptownkid and MT Pockets Thank this. -
Perkins Specialized will probably consider you if you are no older than 10 years. They have a pretty detailed inspection, though, so if you don't take care of your truck and it isn't legal, they won't hire you.
