Interesting point of view. Sort of like cutting off your nose to spite your face, isn't it?

yes, the Denver market is tight as in more drivers than jobs, as I said, we took 200 applications for 3 positions and they were still coming in. Not sure if Groendyke hires without exp. though, especially without mtn. exp.
Be very wary of Mile Hi Frozen Foods, I worked for them, you'll work your butt off, and the pay is average to variable. MBM has a really really bad reputation, I think if you search bad companies on here they are listed as well

MBM is like Mile Hi, they deliver to resturants, Burger King and some others.

We deliver to them on occasion, they run singles and teams, long hours, shutdowns are not uncommon from what I've seen.

yes, they generally want 6 mos. to 1 yr exp., pay starts at $15.50/hr, it's also union if that matters.

yeah, MBM has a poor reputation.

thanks Striker, I kind of figured that is what you meant... surprised by those numbers. C-List Denver usually has lots of ads. Up towards Loveland, Food Service of America has been hiring, I think it is 1 year+ exp... typical food delivery+hard work.

if you had exp., you could look at American Furniture, used to have a neighbor who drove for them, he would be gone 1 to 4 nights depending on the week. Supposedly mid $50's to start, my back won't handle it for me to try and do it, lots of driver unloads.

primarily OTR, check the "good companies to work for" section on here, there is a thread on there about them, they seem to have good reviews, but expect to be gone couple of weeks at a time. If your in Longmont, check with McLane or TSN, they are always looking for drivers, TSN I know runs good equipment, but primarily teams, believe your typically out 2 nights home 2 nights, delivers to convience stores.

How about companies with Denver hubs , where swinging through Denver frequently is likely... And home time weekly ? That also hire rookies ...

You're talking about Swift, Prime, Werner, Navajo, etc. May does a lot of p/u in the area, but doesn't have a terminal. JBS is the same sort of deal with a terminal in Greeley. You can expect to be gone for weeks with these outfits- they're OTR, back a few days for hometime. However, if you need to build experience, they don't mind taking on rookies, low experience drivers.
