Running pretty good? Couldn't tell ya to be honest, did one load from NC to Ga, then one load from Ga to Ms. DH back go Ga and now they're bouncing me back to the Northeast via Mn.
The route i ran wasn't bad. No real scales and you don't go through many large cities so traffic isn't an issue. You do end up running at night (depending on your route if it'll be late night or just before midnight).
I didn't mind the run, just wasn't happy with the directions in the QualComm. Also wasn't happy that the driver i unload'd next to back'd into my trailer bending my left front marker light and pinching wires which caused me to blow my fuse when i got ready to leave.
But just to throw this out there. If they were allowing drivers to pick the route they wanted to run, i'd choose the Southport, Nc to Baconton, Ga and DH back. Southport loads IRT 24hrs and the two lane highway coming out is SWEET!!! i enjoy'd the ride all the way back to I95 and then it was like everyone and their mama was headed south at 3am for some odd reason. -
thanks mitch I talk to tony on the phone today he's going to put me on southeast and local loads never met the guy but I will say he wss nice as he could be on the phone

Mitchazz, You are probably out voted and there are only acouple who want foul language on a rant. You don't need it to make a statement.
d o g Thanks this. -
Tony A? Yeah he's cool to talk to, but just like you i've never met him (i tend to not go inside until i know they have a load or wash ticket for me) only other thing I know about him is that he's married to Amy that does the recruiting.
Not very often that a rant makes a statement that's really worth reading. Once again, i read it for the sole entertainment purpose. It's not very entertaining when 1/2 almost 3/4 of the statement is blank'd out like a classified document.
The first time Act went off about how his truck kept breaking down, i acknowledged it (ok, that guy really doesn't like the fact that his truck keeps breaking). Every other time after that, i completely ignore where he was when it broke, why it broke, or how long it was gonna take to fix. I focused all of my attention on the passion in which he used to display/express his emotion about the fact that it broke again. But it's getting harder and harder because so much is being block'd. That's all i'm sayin.Last edited by a moderator: Apr 6, 2013

Well looks like I might be heading to irt. My current position is cutting mileage pay and stop pay. So my 1100 a wk gross is dropping to 700 wk gross. I got a wife and kid to feed and a mortgage to pay. Hope u all r doing better then that.

-
i had just a couple loads that delivered at night i ran 90 percent daytime i dont like that night driving much anymore i rather bee sleeping

To all you drivers that use to do this with a spring ride trailer, I tip my hat to you all. This is one run and if I see this ting anytime again it will be too soon
-
To get the full benefit, you not only need the spring-ride trailer, you also need the 160" spring-ride cabover. Used to do that with milk from Texas to Minnesota.
