Well, I typically reflect back to the past, but I am glad it is not 2007 anymore in Falcon's case, apparently.
I, like Wolfen666, and I thank Wolf, am aiming for a 'Dedicated Route' from one of two Michigan cities to Arlington, Texas. Yes LaPurr, the rate I will receive would be low--if I were not a newbie.
Being a newb, $700 for a dedicated route that sees just five days work yet no mountains thus no chaining and no NYC thus no running into the bottom of bridging and no LA so no stuck in trafficing, home weekends, terminal 40 miles of which 35 are expressway from my abode....what newb could ask for anything more?Last edited: Feb 10, 2013

I currently work at Falcon and have for 4 years. This company is the most mismanaged company around. All of the above stories are true. They will swindle your paychecks as fast as you can blink an eye. their equipment is pathetic. they make maintence use parts off of totaled trucks instead of buying new part. Falcon "If you can't Duct it , ____ it." should be their motto in all aspects of business. The only positive to this company is that they are so desperate for drivers you can tell them what you want. Such as I'm going home after this load and they can't do anything about it. You can call off as much as you like. They will hire anyone no matter the driving record. The only way to get fired from this company is to flip a truck or fail a drug test. So if you want a company that doesn't give a "F" falcon is your deal.
Lonesome, Fiddle Sticks and Drac1985 Thank this. -
Falcon never got back to me in 45 days. I am done with them as they never were on with me evidently.

I guess Falcon is a smart company after all....

What can u expect from an outfit that spells Joungstown ,Oiho on the trailers.

I am not even close to understanding how you came to this conclusion. According to many on this thread, smart would be a last choice to describe Falcon.
Perhaps you just had a 'Senior' moment. -
I think I know who this is and yes you can get fired for calling off to much.Alot of what your saying is close but in all my years of a driver.I say the best thing here or anywhere is just try to do your job right avoid trouble and don't go looking for it.Try to go to work like you should pay attention to what your doing and use what you can learn and look for a better job as experience becomes higher so should better jobs.(The only way to get fired from this company is to flip a truck or fail a drug test.) Yes seen a few drivers making decent checks fail a drug screen and one guy rolled a truck and trailer just 70 ft from where he got on the road.He got hired real fast at the new McDonalds warehouse(Lordstown,Oh) as a driver making over 20.00 hr.(UNREAL)

I remember them showing up at a job fair while I was still in school. The drivers side headlight was duct taped in place and the truck could have stood a good wash. Not the best way to attract new victims errr drivers..
