You won't sit around with VW's waiting for a load for very long, usually it's balls to the wall. (For instance)...I picked up in Dakota City last Sat and took it home for weekend, left Monday to deliver in Hickory, NC for Wed AM, turned right around and had two pck ups in NC that delivered Wed night in Front Royal, Thursday loaded in VA. Going to Hopkins, MN for Sat early AM, when empty going to Marshall picking up to relay in Council Bluffs later Sat...we'll see what's next.
Jayzee Thanks this. -
Just looked it up. Transflo can be found in the google play store for android devices.
Mattaponi Guard Thanks this. -
Rob, looks like it, should start back on the 29th. Hopefully I will get back in a decent KW, since someone else is driving my old one. So how is the Volvo?
-
They do have it for android as well, have it on my phone and works just as well.
Jayzee, I'd be applying to VW in a heartbeat if they hired out of the northwest, so it looks like Heyl it is for me. Good luck with your decision, these guys are great bunch from what I hear. -
Chilling out at home....got to move into my new (to me) truck tomorrow...I will be in 830...another kw with only 180k on the clock....helped dean tonight find a rattle on leahs new car...turns out her new (to her) focus has a bad engine mount....its interesting seeing the type of mount in that 4 cylinder car....took dean and I a couple hours to find the problem...
Jayzee Thanks this. -
Sounds like they keep you busy I like that if you sit idle to long you want to go home busy man ain't gonna get that at prime

You all sound like a great bunch people not what I'm use to out here. I wouldn't mind working on your team sounds like everyone cares very much for the other driver. I have another driver back home who works for another company who keeps in contact with me and its just nice to know there are still good people out here it makes all the difference believe you me

Oh, we'll its a Volvo. Really the only two things I can honestly say I like about it is the engine and the nice seats. For only being a 13L motor it has some guts to it. First thing in the morning she is pretty #####y about wanting to get after hills but once it's warmed up it's a beast. It still has the horrible (in my opinion) cab & frame suspension so even in a slight breeze it looks like the whole cab is going to fall off of the frame or you're going to get blown over. After a few hours of driving in wind I am about ready to jump off of a cliff from this cab bouncing all over the place. I guess the tighter turning radius is kinda nice too, though I never really had any problems when I was in the KW. There's an RPM governor in 12th that won't let it go over 1410 and if you've got your momentum going and try to jump to 13th it drops down to 1125 and falls flat on its face. After talking to Dean about this he said Dave wanted it done since we had a bunch of water heads running 65 in 12th with the tach up around 1950.Jayzee Thanks this.

A current VW driver who was recently placed in a new volvo said other than feeling like he was driving a bus, and when looking out the passenger side mirror when he had to stand up to see, compared to the kw, he had no problems, oh that and it was ugly! Hopefully when i come back I will get back in a comparable KW to 821 which I broke in. A good truck, except going up hills/mountains.
Happy Trails
