Did you try a quick shot of starting fluid ?
-
Try to see if it starts up with starting fluid then if it starts but doesn't run the. Most likely there is something wrong with the ECM power in my opinion check all the ECM wires on the batteries that's a good place to start make sure that your put everything back when installing the batteries I'm talking about the thin wires you should have at least one of each one for power and one for ground
-
maybe piston and liner are dry, more difficult to start, but if you want to be sure about electronic, run a 12 volt wire on shut off and start that way, and go with starting fluid.

Had similar problem in December turned out to be may fuel pump, turn on key and listen if pump is humming, if humming then that's not your problem.

Yes, thank you
-
Hey thanx, but dos a 98 Volvo have a elec. lift pump?
-
Hey thank you very much for your time, it all looks good and it has power at the shutoff switch on top of the fuel pump when key is on
-
n14 do not have electric lift pump
what you should do now, is to remove the plastic nipple on the compucheck fitting on the fuel shut off, and ask some one to crank the engine while you push on the center of the fitting, fuel is suppose to be ejected on you!!!! if it's the case, fuel pressure is not an issue, starting fluid is a must in your case.Jjpeters Thanks this.
