Sounds great! Hoping to meet PSUMoose tomorrow maybe as well. I knew it was the transformers thing but I just associated it with you! lol I'm going to go take a picture of that truck today so you can see it.

Awesome! Met PSUMoose tonight! He's a real person and everything! lol It was great to meet him and although tomorrow will be a busy day for Melissa and I, I'm hoping she'll get to meet him as well. She was already tucked away in the room. Hope I can get some sleep tonight....really excited to get started!

i start the 15th. i would also like to meet moose and rigg who started this thread initially. moose, since you train, any possibility of getting you around the 29th as a trainer? that would be 2 weeks from the 15th

I hope to meet you too. It will be fairly tight as I'm picking up a student this week. Bigrigg no longer works at Centeral, he bought his own truck and is running household goods in CA, he says he enjoys it.

PSU after you finish the road training how long do you get at home and before you get your truck? My recruiter said you get a week of vacation and your truck assigned to you but how long does that take? Is the time off for you to get your truck set up and ready to go?
Thanks. -
Nope I'm not taking any time off I'm one of those trainee mill trainers. I upgrade a student on Monday run out to Stockton and back and pick up a new student on Friday. That allows me time to get the truck cleaned up inbetween students and gives me a little alone time.
As far as my hometime goes i have a great DM who runs me by home about every week so I do not request home time unless there is something for my kids or a dr appt or something like that.
As far as vacation goes I am an independent contractor so I do not get vacation time. As a company driver you get 1 week your first year but you have to be here a year before you can use it. They will send you home for about 3-5 days after training and you can get your truck set up then, but it's not paid time off.
Hope that helps
I'm at west valley (crswvc) and will be here all day if anyone else is kicking around here let me know.arata954 and Corsair4me Thank this. -
Also assuming there are unseated trucks you will get your truck the day or the day after you upgrade. Then you will get a load to or near your home town

Thanks PSU that answers my questions. MB I can be up in Stockton when you are ready to pick up a trainee or meet you there sometime.

Hmmm. The recruiter at the school I spoke to up here said since I had the Class B and had driven for a few years I would only have to take an upgrade course. Been studying the materal for combination vehicles along with doubles and triples..
