Is there somebody out there who has proof that larger companies are abusing the TFW program?
Because of the recent RBC event, I have written to the CBC about the issues regarding TFW's, and in response they would like
to send a television crew to drive this point home.

In addition, I have made others in the media aware of the online petition to Ms. Finley. However, they require a petition with real names in order to do something
    about it.
We have an opportunity to do something - to give truckers a voice by the Federal, provincial and the public to drive this issue home.
If you have some proof that trucking companies are not being on the up and up about the program - please pm me, and I can get the attention this subject
    so greatly needs.

I really, really, REALLY, hope you get this to fruition. I cannot offer any solid help other than what I see with my own eyes. I don't work for anyone else - independent o/o here. Perhaps anyone from abroad that can chime in on who has advertising in far parts of the world could point a finger better at which companies should be targeted. I could only offer speculation on large carriers that I think might be doing it. Another thing might be to find the amount drivers have been paid for the last 10 years. Our per mile pay hasn't gone up at all, but the cost of living sure has.

    More power to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm hoping I can. I just need something tangible.
I too am a small o/o with just a couple of trucks. I too see it, hear it, but am unable to prove it on paper.
But NOW is the time for somebody that does have proof or has lived through this experience to speak up.

I posted a photo of Syndicates driver board at the Calgary Loblaws dock from Jan 2012. It's not proof that a Canadian was displaced, but it does show that they are only hiring from one ethnicity, and that is a dubious hiring practice. Sorry about the double post. View attachment 45452

Many Canadians have names like that. When my ancestors immigrated to Canada they didn't change their surnames. I've never thought my Scottish surname makes me any more or less Canadian than someone with an Italian, Indian, French or any other.

I have never had a problem with a TFW, as I have yet to see one working in a job that I would want. Pumping gas, cleaning toilets, or in my opinion the equivalent to cleaning toilets hauling loads for loblaws.
I will look forward to the tv show, may be I will learn something.

You are correct. I have edited my post. We all came from somewhere else originally.
