Weeble, thanks for the great thread. I've been a lurker more than a poster on several boards and this one is by far the best board out there. That's because of posters like yourself that give actual information about your experiences. I am thinking of driving and I appreciate the info here. If I do decide to do it and go OTR, Wolding is toward the top of my list.

Kutina, I think I know who you work for based on your location. How are they to work for? Is the pay decent and what division are you in. Gravel or asphalt? If it's the company I'm thinking of. Did you go through a school or get hired and trained for your CDL? I know there's a driving school in the Dells,(Dairyland) PM me if you don't want to post it here.

I appreciate the kind words, and I definitely don't have the only board like this one. The Calex thread for one is very informative, straight up, and unbiased. Just like with everything else, you have to wade through the crap to get to the stuff with substance.

Parked in Janesville, WI for the night. Will get up early to deliver in Burlington. It's first come first serve so I'll try to get there as they open up at 7. From there, I'll head down to Waukesha and most likely drop and swap going up to Neenah. I'm on the list for a California or an Arizona, but we will see.

I'm getting loaded in Holiday Ohio and they're taking their time. This load goes to the yard for a T-Call tomorrow and then I'm on a 600 mile trip to Ohio. Can't complain about the miles, as usual, they just keep coming. Hope I find a spot for the night in Fremont Indiana, but I'm not too concerned. There's three huge truck stops there.

I'll sometimes get stuck on the Neenah to Columbus gig for about a week. I don't mind it as it's around 550 miles down and back and it doesn't eat your hours up to bad to the point of reset. I don't mind doing those until a west coast load pops up. Those Clarksville runs are a different story.

Ended up getting the big bonus last quarter, ran over 37k miles last quarter. Gimme gimme.

Doing a couple of short runs before I head out west. Picked up in Neenah going down to New Berlin back over to Waukesha, then back up to Neenah. From there I was told I'll have an Arizona waiting for me. Works out well, I'll get there Saturday and pick something up there delivering in California Monday morning and then off for a week of vacation. Yeehaw!

Weeble, I have checked out most of the threads on here that have a large following or if I'm interested in the company or topic. The Calex thread and Crete thread are two that I've checked out in depth. By board I meant message board. The Truckers Report is about the only message board out here that I've found that has the frequent posters that has information on it. I appreciate all of the drivers and contruibuters here and I thank all of you for taking your time to post. I think a lot more people jump on here and look or lurk but don't bother posting or registering. That's speaking from my own personal experience in lurking for years on the different boards. Some message boards have become stagnant or have just been taken over by constant bashing of basically everything. It's usually by just a few people but it turns me off of those sites. This board has too broad of a following and too many different contributers for that to happen. Hopefully it stays that way.

Thanks to everyone for all their contributions to this site.

Kutina, thanks for the PM. I had a reply all typed up but I couldn't send it back to you because I don't have enough posts yet. Eventually I'll get there in post count. It wasn't hard to figure out who you worked for.

    Kutina Thanks this.

Well, Arizona came through on the Qualcomm. Delivers by Sunday. I'll plan on getting it there Saturday night.

My preplan changed, headed to Georgia from Green Bay, a nice 900 mile run. Will probably pick up something from SCA in Alabama headed north, or something along those lines. Can't complain.

Though I did loose an hour today because I didn't know I90 West from Chicago to Rockford is under construction. The whole 50 mile stretch. Two lanes, 45 mph, trucks restricted to one lane. Never again.

    The Challenger Thanks this.
