    Some one know it is posible to buy fault code reader for Volvo FH (2007-2012), there is many tools in internet, but only with OBD2 socket, with this socket it is posible to read only engine control unit fault codes, but I need to read codes from other control units.

    on my 09 pete. there is a knob that works with the dash glass. but i've only been able to read one code so far. it usually just tells me to consult operators manual.

    the cheapest tool i've been able to find is $1200. simple code reader software for a computer. with the plug. and it looks like you have to buy a different plug for each engine.

    I faund Launch CR-HD, but this tool have only OBD2 socket and Volvo have (OBD2 socket for engine control unit) and another diagnostic socket for full diagnostic. If i buy Launch CR-HD and adapter it will work or no? seller of this product cant answer this question

    use any RP1210 adapter with Volvo TT.

    OBD2, Volvo 8 pin and Deutch-9 connectors got J1708, J1939 and power supply outlets. Some trucks got two connectors, one on usual place (8 pin Volvo ore Deutch 9) and other OBD-2 in dash. Both are connected parallel))) LOL

    I use Nexiq USB link, Volvo 9998555 and Cummins inline with all Volvos. Belive me, specific 9998555 is nececarry with old rigs made befor 98 (F12, early FH and WG). But they are not supported with PTT 1.12, only with up to 1.11, ore VCADS, ore Tool Box.

    Sorry maby i said wrong what i nead, i nead device whit i can read and erase fault codes and thats it. In europe volvolvo FH OBD2 socket you can read only engine SCR and I-shift fault codes, later i will add wiring diagram, and you will see tgat OBD2 and volvo 8 pin sockets not connecred paralel
