I know Florida isn't the best place to do any type of trucking.

I want to know what flatbed companies, if any will hire out of FL?
Any info will be helpful, thanks drivers.

P.S. (I'm willing to move, after I get some income to do so, if that helps me. Also, I plan to stay out for the max amount allowed)

Do your homework if you are thinking Cypress. You dont have to look very far to hear about them. I second D Mosley. Decker out of Ft Dodge Ia used to be hiring in fla. You are at a disadvantage being so deep in the state. It's another world way down there.

Your preaching to the choir friend....South FL is another world for real

I looked up Decker, and they aren't hiring FL anymore, and I don't think D Mosley is either.
Cypress is hiring out of all of FL, but for some reason that I'm sure some poster will tell me....I should avoid them???

Cypress bought out Sunbelt as some already know. Cypress was taking students last I heard but things change in a minute. If you cant go flatbed right away, keep an application on file with both Cypress and Sunbelt. Also, Melton does flatbed out of FL but I believe they do not hire below tampa.

So I guess I need to move out of Florida? If that's what I need to do, then I have no choice in the matter.

Take a look at Shelton as well and Coastal Transport runs out of Florida as well. I believe they are about the same as the others mentioned here. Most likely .34 to .39 cpm to start or somewhere close to that and experience will get you to the high end to start. Cypress, Sunbelt, Coastal and Shelton all run Southeast regional home most if not all weekends.. From what Ive found out most drivers are getting between 1800 to 2300 miles per week.
