    Hello,

I'm new to this forum which I think is awesome by the way. I recently got out of the Air Force 2 years ago to join up with the Air Guard and I tried Truck Driving and I am liking it but as in all things I get involved with I would like to move up the ladder a bit. I started with Schnedier National which I planned to do 2 years before I left them but because they decided to pay me late all the time and play games with my Air National Guard times I had to discontinue employment with them and I joined up with Gordon Trucking which treats me a thousand times better and pays me more. Yet they are still a common carrier and I would like to elevate to a Private fleet. I have been researching companies for awhile through talking to drivers and reading websites like these. I live in Olympia,WA and I was wondering if Walmart is hiring drivers from this area. I know they have two dist. warehouses that I have delivered to in the past on the Eastern side in Grandview and Hermiston. Any comments would be appreciated thank you.

Wal Mart has strict hiring requirements. There is another posting somewhere on this website that says you need 300,000 miles to get hired there. I'll try to find that posting. If you drove trucks in the Military , it might help your chances.

Hello, I suggest you go to a Walmart and hang out and wait for a driver to dock. Talk to him and he will give you the right contacts. Always go through the hiring person, because sometimes the requirements change and the driver might not know about them.

    Good Luck.

    Ray James.
