My wife and I drove in our POV from KY to MA with the passenger often on the laptop . The Mifi never lost a signal going down the road .
I had a subscription to Flying J before the Pilot buyout and it was very satisfactory . When Pilot and T/A went to Wandering Wifi I gave up trying to use their WiFi -

Here is the company that supplies wifi to Flying J. Drop them a note and tell them about their service. http://www.wanderingwifi.com/contact.html Here is Flying J customer service. Let them know about their wifi service. http://www.pilotflyingj.com/customer-service

AT&T may have improved in recent years . -
Spent 5 hours sitting on the road with no service with AT&T twice in 2 different states. Now, when I drive through there, Verizon has service. The guy I travel with has AT&T and has no service.
Would not even consider them again.NDBADLANDS Thanks this. -
Waste of money,Truck-stop wifi are the worse. They got me once never again. They just need to make it free and stop ripping people off.

I use it for online video watching, or if I need to download a file. I'd rather use the truck stop WiFi than use up my 5g with Verizon.
If it's going to be slow I just set the computer to not sleep, plug in my laptop fan, put something over the screen and go to bed. Usually by the time I wake up the file I needed to download will be done.
Works great if you had a system crash and need to download things again like anti-virus, computer utilities, games, etc.luvtotruck Thanks this. -

I've had AT&T for years. Around here it's better then Verizon. We had Verizon for years until they developed this echoing problem that still exists. Not to mention the cost was more.
I used a AT&T mifi when I was out during the week. Worked good enough for what I was using it for. Mainly movies and skyping. Of course I had to sign up for a year and only used it for 3 months. Still got to pay that bill every month till the contract ran out.
