I did that once when i use to work for a carnival. I purchased a 10 speed an put it on the cat walk then i went to bobtail from VA back to our yard in FL. I made it to SC an blew a tire. The retread flung up an hit the bike bending the back tire in half. I was so pissed i gave the #### thing away.

there are people with bikes. and there are people with motor bikes.
i've even seen a couple of hawgs riding along.Saddletramp1200 Thanks this. -
Get one of those foldup bicycles that folds into the size of a suitcase. They're expensive and very sturdy. Google if that type would interest you.

One of my trainers had his mountain bike strapped to the back of his international. the chain and wheels were covered in rust do to the rain. according to him though it was a cheap bike. I wouldn't recommend it, especially the way he had it hanging. #### thing looked like it could come off at any time...

those are my concerns. That i might be killing the bike by putting it there

best exercise is walking. I know finding walk paths around truck stops can be difficult but thats the best exercise.

The bike is much better cardio exercise. I have arthritis in the knees and 1-2 miles is about all i can do. However an hour on the bike is painless and more fun than walking in a parking lot full of trucks. Safer too, you would be surprised at how many people pull forward without looking forward....Reroll Thanks this.

Latest idea is using a duffel bag to cover the sprockets and bungee cords to keep it tight. Anyone else tried this or something like this ? Thx Cuz

If you are going to carry it behind the cab why not spend a few bucks and go to a good tarp shop and have them make you a bag to cover the whole bike that seals out the water and salt ? seems pretty simple and shouldn't cast more than 100 bucks tops !
MJ1657, mustang970, Studebaker Hawk and 3 others Thank this.
