As the title says what do you pay for work comp on 48states if you dont mind sharing? Im paying 175$ a month thru the company im leased onto and in my contract it says i pay a small added fee for this service. Wondering if i paid it myself at an outside source if i could save any significant amount? Anything more than 20$ a month savings would make it worthwhile to me... Also what company do you use, if again you dont mind sharing..Thanks

Sounds like an occupational health, not work comp. You can buy those as low as 90.00/month,depending on coverage.

As far as workers comp. In the great state of CT i can buy a policy for around $800.00 a year but i can not use it as i am the owner. My solution was to not haul for the customer that wanted me to have it. The return was not worth the investment. Basically just giving the insurance company $800.00 bucks for a piece toilet paper.

My owner operators are supplied with coverage that is costing $800.00 per year but... If there is no claims during the year they will reimburse owner operator $400.00 so $33.30 per month not too bad in my book

Check with OOIDA on your occupational accident policy or workers comp. They sell a policy and I think that it is around $150/month. They may also sell or have contacts where you can get workers comp at a lower cost. They offer some discount services to members. Workers comp rates can vary widely from one state to another.
