I love living in my truck, but sometimes not having a "home" is a major hassle.
How do you deal with it? Mail, doctors, banking, etc.
I'm considering a service full-time RVers use called Escapees. How do you other FT drivers deal with being "homeless"?

how long have you been homeless?Where do you go if you quit a company?Or has this been the only company?
mje Thanks this. -
Mail? None. Everything is paperless and done online.
Doctors? Haven't been to one in 5 years
Banking? same as mail.
However you need some kind of physical place to at least store your off-season clothing. Family, perhaps? And use your nearest relative for physical and mailing address.
Having a small travel trailer in the south or southwest at an inexpensive park is ideal (no freezing issues) -
I have a home but all of my mail and packages are sent to my UPS box so that is taken care of. I even receive emails when my packages have arrived and they hold them for me until I get there.

post office box for mail.
computer for banking. and bill pay.
storage for my stuff. cheaper then rent for a place your not home to use. on top of utilities.
one night a week at home is $50 for a motel. times 4 weeks equates to $200. rent is $800. plus utilites.
kind of a lousy life. but the local job market is still in the toilet. and it's been 5 years now.
$10 an hour. no insurance.
the unemployment rate may be dropping but how anyone is surviving is beyond me. cost of living, car ins. medi insu. and all the other bills. PLUS uncle sam. $10 an hour just don't cut the mustard unless your married with no kids. -
I'm married to my solution.

All my mail goes to my sisters, shes right off the interstate so it don't take long to stop and read what's important and file what is junk.

There are many creative ways. With email Internet and all it's much easier than it was 20 yrs ago.Pobox and a relatives address and you'll be fine. If you don't need to go home, just sit back and enjoy the ride and country.

Have your mail sent to your parents. They can open it and throw out anything that's junk. If it's something you need for the truck then talk to someone at a terminal if you can have it shipped to the terminal & they can hold it for you. Sometimes that might be easier than going home to pick it up.
Doctor is the tough one to answer.
