North TX fertilizer plant goes BOOOOM

IT pretty much leveled the town. I live 40 miles from the plant and it shook my house.The nursing home was a huge issue,so far the death count is at least 15 people. but it's still to hot to get in there.We are looking and still finding people alive but severe injuries.165 went to hillcrest hospital last night.ATF and every other agency you can think of are on the way.It is bad. the man that lives on same property as me was a first responder last night,might go back today.West need all the prayers they can get.

LOL I've had Yahoo for years and they aren't much better. Most of their news is from unpaid wanna be writers and it shows.

 

When I first heard the story, I heard West Texas and thought it was around Midland or Abilene. Then they said north of Waco and thought CNN is way off on their Texas regions. Then I realized it was West, Texas, not West Texas. Never picked up at that plant before but picked up near there. That explosion was unreal.

 

Dead firefighter is Dallas Fire Capt that lives there and commutes. Not much on anyone else even though it's been about 24 hrs. Of course Texans are less likely to run around screaming and making up stories then say Bostonian s. Houston talk show Michael Berry was getting truck loads of clothes and other stuff together to send. Local spokesman said there was NO need. Locals had already given more then enough of those type of things within 12 hours of the incident. West is nice little town. Kolache
capital of TX so that makes it Kolache capital of the world. Stop in there after all the mess blows over and buy a meal.

 

Amonium nitrate gents. ( sorry, no spell check ) same thing in OK City and in Texas City earlier this century.

Bad stuff. 400 I think died in Texas city plus a ships prop was thrown half way across town. It's still there today, where it landed with a plaque to honor the fallen. Largest industrial disaster in US history.
