In this industry, you have to report every accident, big or small. Yes, I do agree that we all make mistakes, but 4 within your first year is way too many. And don't say you need a 2nd chance, because your company already gave you one. And a 3rd, and a 4th. Most companies would fire a driver if you have an accident within your first 90 days, regardless of who is at fault and regardless of the dollar amount.

I have been to New Jersey several times. Never once ended up in a residential neighborhood either. Being new to an area doesn't give you an excuse to not pay attention.

What universe do I live in? The one where you pay attention to where you are. As I said I NEVER had to make a U-turn because I never put myself in that position.

I've been to residential areas in New Jersey. On purpose. Didn't hit anything. Paying attention to what you're doing ensures safety.

The reason you got let go is because of accident/incident frequency. 4 incidents in 13 months is a red flag in safety s and insurance company s eyes. They figure 4 incidents in 13 months, the 5th one could be a major DOT accident. They re covering their behinds on this one. Eventhough these are minor incidents, the frequency in such short time is what hurt you

I ended up in a residentail area once well technically a trailer park because my stupid dispatcher gave wrong directions. Almost got jumped by a bunch of crazy Mexicans when I was walking around on foot trying figure out how to get out of there.

Well hey at least it would of been a good excuse to not drive the truck because I'm in the hospital.

I do have a suggestion for you.

Get out of trucking altogether for the next 11 years. Get a job in which you are home every night that does NOT require any driving whatsoever. This will give you a chance to totally clean up your MVR. Also, this will help you to acquire a 10 year work history when you go to apply for your next driving job. Try to get the best employment record humanly possible to present to a future trucking company.

From the looks and sound of things, you may be totally burnt out from driving and probably need to take that 11 year break to both recharge your battery and get a clean fresh start.

While you are at it, use these 11 years to get as healthy and physically fit as possible. This would also be an excellent opportunity to totally clean up other areas of your life as your family, your credit rating, getting out of and staying out of debt, and staying out of any and all types of trouble with the law.

After the 11 years are up go back to a good truck driving school, and get on with a decent trucking company as stress free as possible.

    NOTE:
You may want to hold onto to your CDL for the next 11 years, however, be exceptionally careful when driving your car. You want to obtain and maintain the cleanest MVR humanly possible.

    Good luck to you!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

i watched a lot of drivers wash out from training .....for this practice of reporting every little thing ....
my personal rule that got me through that first year was anything under 200 i just paid out of pocket after i paid a few times for really stupid s### i got real attentive and i did residential and jobsite deliveries with a 53 foot trailer
for 2.5 years after i got 6 months of experience .....that whole it;s a residential area is a cop out
