    Day 3
Well we lost another one today so the class is now down to 6.

once again a person just decided not to show up for class.

Today we started the day off at the clinic for our physicals. We where told to log in in our log books as soon as we got there so i did that before going in to the clinic. the physical was basic and I got my green card so then it was back to the classroom. two guys in the Class already have their CDLs so one when on to the yard and the other went back to the classroom with me. As soon as I got to the classroom they asked if I felt I was ready to go to the the DMV or did I want to take some more practice test. I went to the DMV and took my written test and only missed 2 questions on the tests so I now have my permit. one thing to note here, in CA if your class "C" (regular license) was renewed over a year ago you have to take that test also. Then it was back to the classroom and we watched some more videos on skids, winter driving, turns and safety and security of your cargo. Well one more classroom day then off to the yard.

Arata954 I don't go down to Fontana until the 6th.

    Congrats Arata954!

    Day 4

We didn't lose anyone today so we are still at 6.
We started the day watching some CRS training videos on bad weather conditions then after that we worked on Trip planning. Then we watched some videos on Rollovers and the Smith system of defensive driving. In the afternoon we started working on our pre-trip inspections. All in all a fairly uneventful day. Tomorrow we will be going to the yard finally to work on Pre-trip and backing. One thing is the instructor made in very clear to the class that we are basically on an extended interview and if we don't cut it here we will not get a bus ticket to Fontana on the 3rd. I think he got tired of people falling asleep in class and going to the bathroom all the time.

I am so stoked to be following everyone else in this thread. So glad I found this community. Met BrettN70 during my upgrade on Wednesday. I am on home time now. I get my truck assignment on Tuesday. I got 100% on the written test and missed two on the trip planning test. The guy wrote all good marks on both my road test and backing test. I'm telling you it was the confidence boost of a lifetime. I'm ready to get back up to CRSWVC on Monday and get assigned my own truck. I am also in the fast-track program, but will wait and weigh all my options before signing a lease.

I hope EVERYONE currently contributing to this thread has only success with Central. This experience has changed my life and I certainly hope that everyone's contributions help others unsure about Central make a solid decision for their future.

Good luck and keep positive. You're starting at a good time. It'll be hot soon so learn to watch your idle time before you get a truck, be safe and don't forget GOAL.

It was great to meet Unloader and he's as positive in person as he is on here. It was a pleasure and Congrats on the upgrade! I passed my road test today and am officially allowed to drive an 80,000 pound truck on our nations roadways! lol. I owe a lot of updates and I apologize for slacking so much in that catagory. My laptop was more sick than originally thought and is still getting treatment. lol. Really quick, I will say it seems to be a quality program. Just don't expect to be babied. Lots of students come through here every week and it's a fast paced program so if you struggle you may not make it. The instructors are fair, helpful and knowledgeable. I've enjoyed them and as long as your serious and not messing around they'll do what they can to help you out. I've got no complaints and over 90% of the drivers I have talked to have said good things about their experiences with Central. I'm sure there are issues no matter what company you choose there will be some issues but Central seems to be in the upper echelon anyway. Thanks to all the drivers who have posted on here and helped me out, given us guidance and cheered us on. Best of luck to all you just getting started and considering.
