Demographics, and DMV pairing. Alot of big companies, wth huge HR Dept's, do this now days.

Demographics refers to selected population characteristics as used in government, marketing or opinion research, or the demographic profiles used in such research. Commonly-used demographics include race, age, income, disabilities, mobility (in terms of travel time to work or number of vehicles available), educational attainment, home ownership, employment status, and even location. Distributions of values within a demographic variable, and across households, are both of interest, as well as trends over time. Demographics are frequently used in economic and marketing research.

5'11 330 is not the problem. 5'11" 140 is when it comes to tarping.

I noticed flatbed companies ask that more then van companies. I think the reason they want to know size and weight is because they want to gauge if you can tarp a truck. If you were 5' 3" 130 they probably wouldn't like you as much to tarp a truck. If you were 6'0" 200 they probably love ya! Not to say a 5'3" guy cant tarp but everyone has their standard. 5'11" 330 lbs GOOD GOD man don't lose your balance! Because once you get your lean on theres no coming back pimp! You gonna fall the hell off! LOL

I drive for TMC, and will be the first to tell you that most of these so called "Horror stories" are being told by useless drivers who expected their dispatcher to accomodate them after they have been playing video games at the truck stop instead of driving to get their load off. Consider the source.

Yes, it has to do with tarping, and demographics. I know a TMC driver that's 5'2 and 140ish (soakin wet) i also know female drivers that drive for TMC and can throw those 120LB lumber tarps around like nothing.

    Don't worry about it.
