Pumpco in valley view Texas will probably hire you. You could fax them an app and let them know your willing to relocate. Like someone else said pioneer is probably the best job you could get but it may be hard for you to get on with them. In one of my previous posts I listed a bunch of other frac companies in tx. You won't need any experience just the license and you'll probably make double to triple what some of these guys who are telling you to pay your dues made when they started out.

Is this the company requiring manual labor on the docks while "training" as a driver or a combination of dock work and driving when first hired? I reside in Florida and could swear this company follows the Publix method (dock work mandatory).Last edited: Apr 20, 2013

He is trying to do it without starting out as a bottom feeder slave.
I applaude him for it and i'm sure with some determination he will do it.windsmith Thanks this. -
What you ignorantly call bottom feeders are really training companies that besides providing training also provides a year long internship in their trucks so that green newbie drivers can hopefully matriculate into professional drivers.
Too many people foolishly believe a CDL is analogous to a 4-year college degree, but it's not. It's only the bare minimum necessary to get hired on as a trainee at one of the training companies.
Indeed, learning to drive a truck requires on the job training and actually doing the job. Moreover, it usually takes about a year for a new driver to hone his skills and mature into a professional driver. By the way, the vast overwhelming majority of newbie drivers with CDLs will miserably fail long before completing their first year.
It seems like your trying to skip the most important step, which more than accounts for your lack of success thus for. Incidentally, if you wait too long to get a job, most companies are going to require you to retake a CDL class.
Also, getting endorsements you don't need and will never use is a waste of money. Additionally, if you wait until you are hired on and it is determined that you need a particular endorsement; most companies will pay for it.
Finally, if you owned a truck, would you hire yourself with zero experience to drive it? Be honest now. Why would you believe that others would hire someone with zero experience? -
What about how some of the bottom feeder companies ruin a truckers career? I mean over some stupid things too! Bottom feeder companies, I mean "training companies" will give you experience but you might starve out there and sure won't be able to support your family. Good if you're single I guess.

just got done talking to a recruiter from schneider he says all they have for me is an OTR position hauling bulk which requires hazmat, thats all fine and dandy until he tells me that my hazmat endorsement from FL would not be eligible i would need to go through the whole process of getting endorsed with hazmat from texas...i think im gonna lose it....seriously hazmat is a federal endorsement which should be good in any state, please correct me if im wrong?
