I have over 3 Million safe miles and i did it ''my way''.In which is ''not the right way''.I enjoy stress free trucking, going to sleep when i want and lolly gagging around.I enjoy the sights and screw off most days.Sometimes it takes me 20 hours to go 400 miles...
I for one am not into the whole ''micro'' management.I do no my days are numbered in trucking.Once they take my ''freedom'' away and monitor me like a ''lab rat'',I will sell out and thank the trucking industry for all the nice things i have on a trucker pay.Paid for 200,000 home, paid for Harley and no debt..I for one can walk away and go ''local'' by the hour till retirement.
I feel more sorry for the ''newbies'' coming aboard.I do not think they will ever have the life i have had in trucking and make the money i made, the way it is set up today. The whole system is broken for the ''new people''.IMOcowboy_tech Thanks this. -
It actually helps the newbies, because you don't have all these companies pushing the drivers pass their breaking point. ON load that could have been picked up a day early, but because the company knows they can get drivers to fudge the book. They picked up another load, and now trying to rush a driver to make on time delivery. You guys and your stories. Wish they could be more believable, but I guess they are to some. Good day sirs.

I like the driver that burned up his ''3'' hours at the shipper. Now he has 680 miles to go and 11 hours to do it.This driver is fun to watch..
Talk about ''STRESS''.I see them hanging there heads out the window at 2 a.m. trying to ''stay awake''..I see them going 80 MPH,Hammer down..Yep,it's all about ''safety''.. -
