TMT was the old sticker which stood for ton mile tax. In the old days you had to break out your miles run on the NY Thruway separately from all other miles, the reasoning was you were paying the toll, and not to get charged the TMT tax on those miles.
The current HUT sticker is a 2nd tier taxation, after the basic fuel tax collected at the pump. Some states have an additional 3rd tier tax.
The sticker belongs on the front of the truck, but not on the bumper. The problem with modern aerodynamic trucks is there is literally no space the size of that small sticker to accommodate that request, so lots of guys are putting them on the bumper.
NY state thinks it is 1956 and you can put the sticker on the bulbous front fender of your B-model Mack.landstar8891 Thanks this. -
I just got one, the back of the sticker says NOT to put it on the bumper. It says to put it on the truck near the license plate. (Being that the license plate on a Centruy is at the bottom middle of the bumper, that might be fun!LOL)
We have a bunch of Century's in our fleet, I will see where they put them.

II have noticed a lot of trucks are puttigng them on the bottom of the hood.

My carrier issues out the NY stickers. I thought, oh God, here we go again like years before. But since I don't have anything to do with NY, the sticker is sitting in my permit book. Sure not going to put that goofy thing on my truck unless I need to.

yea ny said its to easyhto steal a bumper to get the sticker. i guess they have not meet BFH 2 good hits take stcker home for removal....lol i dont do ny so i dont worry about a spot for it.

To funny. This is the sole reasoning behind this. They think that drivers will swap out bumpers.I think the elected officials are a bit PARANOID about losing some ''Tax'' money..
These are the same typr Paranoid Nut Jobs that set up the drivers ''parameters'' to go on duty at 1 MPH..They think drivers will be putting there flashers on running down the side of the highway at 10 MPH... -
Yea, I would work 2 hours changing out bumpers to save $4 on a NY sticker.
