Heck yeah, another bad habit, is going to clutch in and hitting the brakes! (auto in the Explorer). I have even found myself running at the truck speed limit before, and once I almost pulled into a scalehouse; when the driver behind me honked the horn, it kind of snapped me back to reality!
One thing I DO miss in the car, is my CB- on some runs it's nice to be able to talk to someone, since when we travel the kids are watching a DVD and the wife is usually asleep.
Do you find yourself making wide turns in your 4 wheeler?

No, but I do find myself squaring corners sometimes.

Yep, my hubby does this stuff all the time! And I am known for WIDE turns.. and driving slow.. and any trucker in the neighborhood recognizes my car, due to the CB..
And Melva is well known to them all! She is the one making other traffic slow down so you can make that left at the lights on McAuliff... And the one guarding your back door when you go to make that wide right... -
of watching my right hand mirror while turning right in my car. i like to be able to see the curb as i'm turning. sound familiar????
-
You've got that right..LOL
And it's almost like I don't know how to back up my pick-up or car, because there is NO trailer hooked on back there!

I get in my wife's car (buick century) and I have a hard time judging distance while parking or pulling into a parking spot!
-
Honking the horn to get a driver's attention and crack your hand on the A-pillar!!! That hurts!! Besides reaching to set the parking brakes that are not equipped on a 4-wheeler.
Elvenhome21 Thanks this. -

I find myself looking for the clutch in my automatic Neon all the time, even after being off the road for a year. I still rarely use my center mirror, and I squared off my corners for the longest time. Must have looked pretty funny to the other folks on the road that I swung so wide in such a tiny car.
I just hope when I get back on the road this spring that it doesn't take me as long to get back into those habits as it took me to get out of them. -
