Because in the real world trucking companies are hired by the lowest bid. In the oilfield companies get hired by there safety records...So the good oilfield companies will and can be picky about the type of drivers it hires. One accident on a location could blow a whole contract... Ask DVT in Williston. They had a huge contract with marathon oil and started having bad safety issues and marathon pulled there contract. So the scab (swift trucking companies) of the oilfields will take no exp drivers... The (Walmart trucking companies) of the oilfield will want good solid exp and impeccable driving and safety records. The companies are only as good as there drivers....

I would argue in the oilfield companies ALSO get hired by the lowest bid. THEN if safety becomes an issue they get dropped and the company moves onto the next best bid, LOL!!!

Times like these I wish I lived in Texas. That place is a gold mine for jobs. Oil field jobs galore among other things.
