they are not going to lose business

they will bounce back after paying some fines, maybe one or two will go to country club jail and then they will become the "NEW PILOT" with better than ever bargains and all of us will go and use them because there are not too many other choices

TA/Petro has its advantages, but they rip you off also
Loves is a pure dump, fuel and get out
the Mom&Pops dont have the national network that many of us need
Ambest is in a sorry 7th place

and where else can you watch endless Law & Order?

Yea joseph1135, i heard that call before!! Millioners and Billioners have to pay their fair share! you know what you really mean? Now folks, after reading further, lets not jump the gun! the feds are investigating complaints from trucking companies and they stormed the building and dint arrest nobody! let the investigation take it's course! 30 agents with bullet proof and guns in a corporate building is too much! and joseph, one more thing, you hate Corporate Billioners riping us off? i hate leaders in this country that is going broke, printing money and giving it away as foreign aid!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, if you're an OO , there is a better choice. But, it requires you to be a little smart.
Pilot and Loves are fine , for Company Drivers. They THINK they don't have to worry about the cost of fuel. And, they can wait in line for lousy showers , and not enough of them. And their " Free Coffee" after 6 ? 10 ? Refills .
For the rest of us , NASTC is the way to go , unless you're already getting a better deal.
    In 5 days , I saved over $152.00 , on fuel , by joining NASTC . YTD , probably over $1200.00.
As for Pilot , well , the chickens come home to roost , eventually.

I counted I think 35 people named on the indictment that they posted on internet, and I bet Haslam and some others maybe named later on. One person named, alone was said to have 68 accounts he worked on. Just on the one account, which must have been fairly small, the rebate was around $18,000, the check was cut for $15,000 and some change so as to make it not look suspicious.

They also only used mail out rebates vs wire generated, for the simple reason it may not have stood out as much or be as traceable. But I reckon that should be mail fraud they are charged with too.

Greed is what did it on the employees part also, I hope they enjoy the fact they ruined their lives and future job chances, they probably won't even be able to flip burgers now.

Atlantic is but the first of MANY carriers that will be bringing a lawsuit against Pilot/Haslem. My prediction is that this will likely become a class action lawsuit involving dozens, if not hundreds, of carriers.

Of most interest to truckers that are supposed to get fuel rebates as part of their deal, there is already some evidence that some carriers colluded with Pilot (and possibly Comdata) to under report rebates so the entire fuel rebates were not noted on Comdata settlements.

We are currently looking into the feasibility of opening a Truck Stop.. Found the message board thru the thread asking drivers what they were looking for in a TS (Great ideas, btw)

Could you explain what you meant in the quote above?

    Thanks!

Gonzo, many truckers drive for companies that require them to fuel at "XYZ" truck stop. In my case we run for a company that requires us to fuel at Pilot/Flying J and they get very upset if we fuel elsewhere using the Comdata card. We can fuel anywhere we want if we pay cash, as O/O.

Fueling at a truck stop with cheap fuel, when we pay cash, is great for our bottom line. But we still fuel up at P/FJ every now and then in order to keep up our shower credits and points on our rewards card. Independent truck stops are at a disadvantage in this market IMHO.
