Taking all suggestions into consideration, it's just difficult to spend a day or more without any income when you are as small as we are. I'm guessing you either are not an owner operator or you have alot more financial backing than we do. For us to take the truck back requires at least a day labor to remove the wet kit. Then another day to drive the thing up there and come back. We have one spare truck which is sold and supposed to be gone this week so that means no spare. No truck. We have NO income unless that truck is moving and loaded so even if we pick another new truck up and bring it home immediately there is another day labor to put the wet kit on. You are talking a loss of more than half a week's income for us. Right now we are not financially stable enough to handle that. I appreciate ALL of the advice but not all of it will work for us. That's the beauty of a site like this. You can get a ton of advice and choose what fits you best. Nobody shot anything down. It has all been considered and very much appreciated but it won't all work for one person. I want help from respectful, knowledgeable people that actually know what they are talking about. That is exactly what I want.
Need advice from someone EXPERIENCED with new freightliner glider kits

Having been in your shoes more than once... When it was something that I couldn't handle I found that when I tried to cut corners I would end up adding another week of downtime. When, if I had taken the truck to a professional shop in the first place, maybe it cost a little more per hour. I could have had the truck back in 2 or 3 days at most. You will end up sepnding $100 trying to save $5 because you refuse to take the problem back to the dealer and make them fix it.. ..considering how they treated you, if it were me I'd take it somewhere esle that I trusted... ...Even if that meant bobtailing for 3 hours. Sounds like the truck is undriveable anyways and you've already lost another day here dilly dallying around. I'd go to a competant shop asap even if that means paying $105 an hour. If you have a warranty worth a crap you can deal with getting that money back later..

I guess I was just curious why he went with the Detroit if it wasn't his or your mechanics favorite choice? That's the nice thing about that Coronado, you can get a couple of different engine options with it.
Personally I would have gone Cummins N-14 525, BUT that is just what I would have spec'ed, to each his own, just curious on the choice, as a good mechanic local would have factored heavily into my decision.
Hope you can get it straightened out with a minimum of downtime.

What is the last 6 of the vin? What do you mean it only showed 400 horse. Did they put it on a dyno or is that what engine is programmed at? 100 less horse is way to much on a dyno.
