So the question was more in the line of, "What is the best way to schedule my days off?"

The answer depends on what you want to do on the days off.

Yes to clarify I only get 6 days off per month...what is a good way to schedule them ..sorry for the mix up?.....I can figure out ways to keep busy with a 3 year old and a 17 year old ....both boys......well actually the wife always has things planned ...but they always involve me working harder than I do at work

If I was in your situation I would schedule two three day weekends a month. Being home only two days at a time doesn't really seem long enough, but three is better. You could be out for two weeks, then home for three, although with two kids at home maybe you want to be home three times a month. All depends on what you want, and what your company will allow.

ya, especially if two days home is also two travel days. LIke, you are off saturday, but you have to drive home from the terminal on saturday some time. Then sunday is your second day off, but you have to be back at the terminal on sunday evening...

Realistically that is only one night off.

However you take your days off, I know that now I go shopping for things I need for my home and do laundry at my company terminal during my 10 hour break that way when I go home all of that time is spent free time. When I was new, by the time I finished taking care of chores half of my home time was over!

Now Giggles....what you need to do is let hubby retire.....thats what we did....Mama goes to the hospital , does her thing (she is a CRNA) I stay home clean , cook , take care of the house stuff , and even have time to get in a deer hunt or 12 during deer season and a turkey hunt or 2 during the spring......:Utility ATV::Utility ATV::Utility ATV::Utility ATV::smt063:smt006

Most likely you will change it up some as things come up. Events for kids family get togethers/holidays etc... Then as you do it more, you will learn what will work for you best as far as a regular home time routine. It's different for everyone as we all have different obligations and priorities.
