Lease options are for the Company, not the guy leasing. Never talked to anyone successful at Lease purchase and have heard thousands of horror stories. The only way to buy a truck is to put 20K in the bank and then put 15 down on a new, barebones tractor. Pay it off in 4 years and write it off, the warranty will be up at 500K and trade up. Thats what we did and we made money.

Then you haven't been talking to the successful ones. Looking around here at Prime, I personally know over two dozen who have completed a lease-purchase, and now own their own trucks. Looking at the 4xxxx tractor numbers, and you can see a lot more running down the road. It depends on the structure of the contract, and how the carrier goes about administrating the program.

The only way to buy a truck is to put 20K in the bank and then put 15 down on a new, barebones tractor. :biggrin_25525: Sad thing is that there are just as MANY FAILURES with that as there are with leasing because they have NO IDEA on running a business.

Learning on a dry Van but want to drive Reefers? Though USA low pay they do treat you right if you work their system. I drove for USA and wish I had stayed, was an O/O with them.

Currently he is in training. His first trainer had just quit. He went to Prime that's why I was asking everyones opinion. what a he expect as an average weekly pay. I am grateful since they're the only ones who would give hima chance.
