Your experience is up to YOU. If you have a positive attitude towards things, your experience will be better. I personally would never work for and I would never refer a driver to them though. Their pay is a little better then when I worked for them so you are a little more ahead then I was almost three years ago. Maybe someone who is currently working there can weigh in, but like any company you have your good things and bad things.

Not real sure if they would come after you for the money , but I can tell you my experience so far with them. Been driving for 13 months and although there have been some slow times early on it has not been too bad as long. Not going to get rich out here with them but it just depends on what kind of money you need to make having family to take care of. Luckily it was just me so I could handle the bad weeks. The only real bad weeks was early on during hometime and when my truck was in the shop which luckily was not that often although I know others have not had that luck.

For my 13 months my average weekly miles have been right around 2200. For the last 3 or 4 months that has jumped up to around 2600.

Don't know if that is much help but good luck with your decision.

I did C1 Indy March 4. Then i did USA orientation April 3 in Vandalia. I am on the road training right now.

I did quite a bit of research before getting involved....... I had a 25 over speeding ticket that my first pick did not want. My second pick said they would hire me January 2014. USA said c'mon!

What I have found out about USA is they generally have a poor lot of trailers but are buying new ones. Tractors seem to be so-so to new.

A common complaint a few months ago was low miles. What my research found are miles are on the increase. I also discovered USA is much like any other company. Your dispatcher/fleet manager means everything. A bad one can kill you and a good one can make you sing. Help make them be a good one and hope it is reciprocated. It seems they like you being out 3 weeks or more.

My shortest load turn to date is 744 miles. Longest has been almost 1000 miles. Tomorrow we begin a 1300 mile trip. This is with a trainer so the deck is probably stacked. Obviously, there are miles somewhere if you can pull them out.

I am going to give USA an honest effort and hope to get my fleet manager on my team.

    Good luck. Be safe.

That is very true a good fleet manager can make things a lot better. There will be times that you might get stuck with a short load or two but the best thing to do is as long as you have the hours just take care of business and good loads will follow. I usually start the week with 1 or 2 250-400 mile loads then get a couple 800-1500 loads to finish it out.

    Good luck out there

You bet they will, especially if he went with Driver Solutions. I'm paying off that $5900 at $30 a week lol.
