Most drivers will not care about this.Anymore, they are producing very LAZY drivers anyhow..IMO..

the main difference between E-logs and paper logs, with paper logs drivers can cheat.
Second difference, with e-logs more minute fractions of hours can be logged. (subject to reality since this guy has never run elogs)

I love how some truckers who would never pack the stuff to make it into management always seem to think that its some 40 hour or less a week gig and home all the time job... try it sometime.. the grass isn't greener and and the job unlike yours doesn't end daily when you turn the ignition off.. but dream on...

You still have 14 hours from when you START your on-duty or on-duty driving time to finish your day. It's NOT 13 1/2 hours.
Start at 6 AM, you are done at 8 PM.
You will STILL have 3 hours between your 14 and 11 hours driving. They are simply saying that now you MUST take 1/2 hour of those 3 hours BEFORE you have driven 8 CONSECUTIVE hours.landstar8891 Thanks this.
