Facts about Indian River. I am a 10+ year employee. I have other income to supplement IRT.
1. you may get one (Rarely two) good checks then more bad!
2. You might run good for a short time but then sit!
3. They will promise to make it up, rarely happens!
4. They may promise you extra pay. Be prepared for a fight to get it!
5. Keep your eye on your pay. I just went over 5 weeks checks and found 268$ not paid (mostly missed Toll reimbursements).
6. Their equipment repair is at an all time low!
7. Their CVSA score is in the 90% violation area http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=yQ4O5jOVduxmxrhfZOAtGA== DOT # 123611 check it out!
7. When they say they pay you to drive the truck, they mean that's all they Pay for!!
8. They are on C.O.D. with most of their vendors now!
9. They have a hard time keeping their drivers. Out of 600 drivers there is 26 with over 10 yrs. seniority and 12 of them are 65 to 73 years of age. Most of the others are in my category and or run local.
10. If you are breathing and can fog a cold mirror, you too can qualify to drive here.
11. Most of the loads are dispatched late and are expected to be on time (see CVSA score above).
12. I am here for my personal reasons. I cannot tell you will make a living here, most try but fail.
13. Remember people you talk to are promised $500 recruiting fees to get you to come over here. My conscious can't be bought. There are a few who make it but any company who hires 5-10 people a week may have a problem!Last edited: Apr 28, 2013

They have Qualcomm but no e-logs. Rumor has it in July +/- e-logs may appear. It's coming just check their CVSA Score... one of the worst D.O.T. 123611 http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=yQ4O5jOVduxmxrhfZOAtGA==

Alright, just that my qc starts logging whenever I move the truck, didn't know people just used them without the log feature.
This company seems to have nice equipment and they govern their trucks pretty high, too bad everyone who works for them says they aren't making any money.
