I start with Roehl in April. I have a couple of questions or conserns. First off how is the equipment? As a new driver I dont expect to get a new truck, but I dont want to spend tons of time in the shop. Second what size of motors do they run. Third I have heard of cameras in the trucks . Is that True? Last is it hard to get fuel bonuses?
New Roehl driver with questions.

So u llooked at all the other threads and couldn't come up with the answer for those questions?
TexasPhoenix Thanks this. -
Yes, please do your homework on this Roehl portion. Much has been written to answer your questions. Will save us much time answering as most of us are on the road and computer time at night is minimal.

Equipment is decent, prob better than when I worked there 2yrs ago. Motors are small and cut way back to 63mph. They didnt have cameras in the truck when I worked there, to bad none of the current drivers could 10sec to answer your questions!

I worked for them for a very shor t time. I just did nt get enough miles. I went through the orientation for exper. Drivers with two other guys on guy got a brand new truck still had plastic on the seats, I got a 2012 that was in great shape. And the othe guy who had more wheel time than both of us got a beater, I mean a beater man, lol. Go figure. I did have a camera in my truck the other two did not. Have fun, good luck, they are good folks.

Sorry but I just drove 10 hours today. Don't feel like wrapping my head around questions that have been asked before several times. They are good questions that new drivers always ask but just a bit of time spent can answer most inquire.

I've read elsewhere on this forum that the trucks with cameras in them (forward-facing) are where a given driver frequently was getting lost or having similar issues while out on the road. The purpose was to help them analyze where things were going wrong and offer some tips for solving the issues.

No cameras unless you have several incidents, and they feel they need to monitor why.
-
They will have camera on driver too. Usually have multiple hard brakes/instability episodes.
-
Yeah, I suppose they want to see if you are reading a book or not.
