Out of Control Semi Slams Into Several Others Saturday on I-5 South of Ashland

Discussion in 'Trucking Accidents' started by Cybergal, Jan 13, 2008.

  1. IronPony,

Who or what are The SuperTrucks ?

Another ? for U, when I am going west to Seattle over Lookout , a sign says " No Jake brakes" , why?

    I have noticed several
Runway Burrow pits deep in gravel for trucks who have lost the brakes system.

    OOOps one more ?
When I am driving down the freeway and am going down hill on a pass, and see a truck in my rear view mirror , out of control (a runaway) what do I do?

    Thanks!

Thats a decision I hope I never have to make, but before I take another's life and destroy so much I will take an alternative....

Well that section of Interstate 5 is steep and has lots of curves in it... Been there and done it a few times over the years when I lived and worked in Portland.

It has several run away ramps on the roadway for just this kind of problem...
BUT they are every few miles apart, and while that may be a problem there is also the fact that if you need to use them, you might have a vehicle beside you at that point..

As to placing blame on the truck driver, its very common as everything when boiled down is going to be blamed on the human involved...

  9. Nitrous oxide!

U gotta be kiddn me , nope!

O/O 's run their trucks on that stuff?

Certainly would do no good on a governed / Comp owned trk.

    GGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEE's its sounds SCi-Fi!

Is it the same fuel some of the locals put in there little can cars and go around the oval outside of town, stopping by a airplane hanger to get it ?:biggrin_2555:

Well I left ya for a moment and did some research.

    NX or NX Kit's.

My neighbor raced a Dragster and a Funny Car, he was the best in his division for a small towner, in fact him and his brother had Logging trk's , now they have low-boys and are constantly running.

I am going to ask them if they have NX kits in there rigs:)

coming from a lunatic like me. I was just kiddn wit ya !! I was talkin' about puttin' the N.O.S in your own car !!!! When you see a hood barrelin' down behind you..... lean back , flip the toggle, and make sure your doors are locked. No need to worry about sunglasses since you might break the speed of light....the sun will be behind you !!!

  11. But you can put a NX kit in a deisel Big Rig!

    Can U imagine.
They are probably in the Trucks in Australia, that haul long days and fast hours!

I am sure there are some kits in some trks out there.

    shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! right?
