I can feel the love now. Hey guess what, your working, that truck don't belong to you. If you need to something in the sleeper, pull the curtain please! We care about the operation of a very expensive tractor, when it's your problem, not ours. Don't like it? Buy your own truck. Management. ROTFL

I have some friends who do extreme back country skiing, and they use the go pro, to help film for ski movies. They love how they can mount it just about any where on their body, or even the tips of their skis.

Those go pros are nice I have like 25 dollars invested in one of those dang game macines at pilot/flying j trying to win one..

Now...Southern Refrigerated Transport (SRT) is installing in-cab cameras in the '14 model trucks. I see some with them, and some without. So, maybe its just a test program. But, from my experience with "test programs"..it usually ends up standard SOP.
I have a company '13 model KW, which did not come with a camera, I have my own, and I understand the need for forward looking cams and some creedance of in-cab, but not enough to justify it against the ramifications of doing so. Drivers do not want to be that micro-managed. It robs us of the one thing that led us to the freedom of driving in the first place. If you ask any driver what brought him to the job, great pay is not it. Freedom of the road..open road, new places, no boss over your shoulder. Freedom...that's it
Insurance companies are driving this occupation and industry into the ground. The industry is punished for the faults of bad, un-professional, and criminal companies. The proverbial "shutting of the barn door after the horse has gone".
I love driving, and I miss the old days. Some changes are good and have been successful. But, at what costs? A police state? Everyone driving 55 mph? What a nightmare..
Ad finem epistula, I will not be spied upon. I truly hope that it does not become a reality. -
They don't want to put a camera in my truck, my girlfriend said she gets paid extra for that kinda stuff
OOwannaBE and landstar8891 Thank this. -
I have a camera in MY truck, it points forward till I say different. I pass gas, belch, and sneeze. Picks that up to. Difference is it's MY truck. Mickey Mouse can watch me drive for all I care. But I can turn it off if I want. I believe a camera should capture the working part of the truck, Never the sleeper area.

There will be a reality show soon based on the camera's inside the trk just a matter of time..
