I would not doubt it. QC Energy in Weatherford is trying to move all of its drivers to % of the load. There are still a few out there who pay by the hour to haul crude, including all the QC Energy outfits in Texas. But the rates must be highly competitive or something is surely going on cause I know some water haulers are making more than crude haulers. Not putting down water haulers but crude is a HAZMAT load and lot of the water haulers I know don't have HAZMAT. Water haulers still being paid by the hour so water business must not have as much competition as crude.

Water haulers in texas is very competitive... I know of a few companies that are paying $16.00 per hour for water.
Many crude haulers are paid by the barrel, based upon the number of barrels and distance hauled. Usually stated as a percentage of the line haul... Paid by the hour when waiting to load or unload. A crude hauler can make more money than a water hauler without even trying. -
dirtyfoot do you know of any other companies besides these?
