Have you tried that 'grime' remover in the green bottle? Cleans diesel off glass really well.

That ammonia running off along the side of the truck ... I've heard ammonia can damage automotive finish, but don't know for a fact. And yes I'm trying to deal with bugs on the leading edge painted surfaces of personal vehicle with a flat front ... white no less.

Soak it really well with water for awhile, then scrub. After you get all of them off, put a coat of rain x on the finish. That stuff is slippery and works great for getting off anything ya hit in the future. I'm in E. Texas and if I'm out just before dawn my truck gets blasted with bugs.

A high strength bug and tar remover as used by detailing professionals. One source that sells to the average schmuck is The Chemical Guys. Google is your friend. Spray, agitate, soak, wash, done.

"Spray 9". works awesome. Just spray it on then power wash off. I've even sprayed it on hot stacks, it sizzles and dries immediately but the bugs still wash right off. Been using it for years. It also works great on rubber. Spray it on your floor mats and the rubber comes up nice and black and any logo colours come back vibrant. Of course work great on whitewall and raised white letter tires as well. http://www.spraynine.ca/
