A couple of years ago, I got an over-length ticket ($300) on US 501 between Glasgow and Big Island (max 65') Any one know if 501 from Lynchburg to big Island has length restriction also. Thanks

You must be talking about getting to GP. yea, that area can suck getting in and out. Been a long time since Ive been there but heard its still the same. 501 from Lynchburg is still a no-no. I used to use 122 out of Bedford from south, 29 to 130 to 501 (lee hwy) from north. Looking at Rand McNally, says dont go 501 from Lynchburg still. Hope that helps. Be safe out there driver.

No sir...cannot run 501 outta Lynchburg...gotta run as stated above from Lynchburg. Its a bit of a pain.

Thank you a lot for this reply. I just won't bother with load going there. Just thinking, not worth the extra effort to get in and out of there.

Yep, the only ways in (and out) of Big Island, VA is either SR 122 or SR130. That's why I call it Big Pain in the ### Island. SR 122 is actually a pretty easy ride though. 130 on the other hand sucks

Just don't go there
