You totally full of crap. Parts of TX are scrub. Huge areas are forest. And some of the largest wetland tracts in US. And more farmland under cultivation than any other state by a long shot. You are talking crap out of your ignorant rear. The truth will set you free. Obviously another Yankee who snuck into TN without the good folks shooing them away.

Didn't mean to start a TN/TX battle. I love Texas too. East TX is lush, South Padre great to vacation.

I'd just get sick of the rocks, dust and nasty plants where the energy jobs are. Ok to visit though and run a few good paying loads.

I wish Texas would recall their danged armadillos back from TN though. I hate getting up at 4am just to stalk them hole-digging varmints.

I'm headed to Big Lake/ San Angelo before the ink on my diploma is dry. I always felt out of place being a Cowboy's fan living in California anyway!

Don't get all riled up. For your info I have been in quite a few places in TX and the only place I saw that had green grass like TN was north of Dallas and over along the LA border. But I have been to Houston, Laredo, McAllen, Amarillo, Dallas, and everywhere in between. Granted south west TX I haven't seen very much of, but I have never seen many trees except going north out of McAllen along the LA state line.

The only farmland I saw was in the Valley where they grow a lot of onions and grapefruit. Everywhere I looked it was cattle trying to find enough scrub to eat. I always wondered how they survived. I know there is a huge ranch in the se part called King Ranch. Over by Beaumont it seems to get a little greener.

But I am being honest when I say most of what I have seen in TX is dry arid land. Lots of tumble weeds.

I am not trying to put down your state. I love the food there. The people are friendly and seem to be honest hard working people. Austin has great music and the girls in TX are real pretty. I like going to TX. It's just not that green.

Keep us updated on what's going on in the Big Lake area. People are reporting it's getting ready to boom there.

The Nabors yard in Midland is running radio ads for vac and kill truck drivers. There's been a bit of a slow down here the past couple months. General consensus is there are a lot more trucking companies here than last year. Some yards are having ups and downs. I havent seen anybody running for the hills yet, so hopefully this is just another minor slow down. After all the price of oil is still high.
