I would avoid Western express, depending on which part of CT you live in I would look into TMC.

Hi All, Need advice for pay rates for a driver of a skateboard. I was recently quoted 20% of GROSS. What do you think. There are so many ways to figure these numbers. Thanks.

When i was with acme they said 25 percent of the truck. they didn't tell me that acme too 30% off the top. ended up i got about 17% of the truck. If they had kept me busy then it wouldn't have been bad but i sat ALOT. 20% doesn't seem too bad at all. unless you sit. and wait. get told "We're working on it". eat all your money. gamble in the casino. do i need to go on? same as all the rest, If you keep moving then you should be fine.

Thanks for the heads up. This company said that the 20% is GROSS before anything like FSC is taken out. They also said that I can look at the invoices to get the 'feel good feeling' of them being fair. I have been burned so many times in the past that I am a very cautious and skeptical 'Rabbit'. I agree about being able to roll and being told 'that they are working on it', gets me steamed.

20% is way off the mark nothing less than 24%. plus they should include heath ins. pay you to tarp extra stop det.time, lay over you should be able to gross 50 k on 110,000 miles or less. drivers don't give away your time or work.
