    I just got back from CRST in Cedar Rapids,Iowa.While I was going to a two week refresher coures at Kirkwood driven school,the instructors wanted,the CDL holders to pitch in and do there jobs,there wasnot enough of them for fourty or so students.They wanted us {class A holders} to take six or so students to a truck and help them learn the pretrip.While they set inside doing a dam thing.While i did for about two hours tell i caught on ,and figured out what they were doing,setting in side doing nothing.well I figured that they were chargen me full price to go to the two week coures,and they wasnt going to subtract my time from helping them out,Im sorry they booked so many students at once,i was just there to do my refreasher coures not to train ,nobody.BEWARE of them,I talk to someone over at CRST about it,and they said they was going to check into it,he wanted names ,I gave him names and i was on the next bus out there.BEWARE.....

    Crst is for the new an desperate lol. We went over the pretrip once with an instructor. Then had other drivers help us. Nobody knew what they were doing except farm boys an ex military 88 mike. You are right an when someone says oh I'm such a great driver I'm like why you working for Crst then lol

    You just happened to get sent to the ###### school. You should have gone to hawkeye. Oh and the point of teaching others is to help you remember your pre trip. If you can't act like a team don't go to a team driving company. You just sound lazy to me.

    I just got out of orientation (waiting now for a fm and a lead). You can take a little pleasure in knowing that CRST is close to just dropping Kirkwood. They have plans to buy out another big plot of land across from the training center in CR and making their own school. That may help some. I know one thing that will help the future people is the fact that they are planning on their school to include at least 40 hours of actual drive time (as opposed to the maybe 10 hours at Kirkwood).

    Yea no you still work as an individual as a codriver. I mean I never ever wake my co driver up ever an I do my own pretrip get real

    Bigwuz,you lost the point of the post.I understand doing pretrip by your self,but,Im not going to PAY for a school for a freasher course,and have to do there job,If you cant catch the point of the post KEEP trucking.
