I need advice from other experienced drivers!! I have the opportunity to drive for Schneider National on a dedicated route or I can except the position with FedEx Ground which would be a line haul route with 1 week a month OTR. What would you do? I need advice quick. I have to make a decision by Monday. Schneider is offering 1 penny per mile than FedEx Ground. I'm thinking long term employment and stability!!
Thanks In Advance

I'd go with Schinder, Fed-ex ground is from what I understand a teem operation, witch means you will be living with someone else in very close quarters and tring to sleep going down the road bouncing all over the place. Good luck.

Schnieder is the best choice....FedEx ground remember doesn't care how bad weather or road conditions are...you'd better get there on time even if it means running like a mad man down the highway...
Schneider is definitely more safety oriented. -
You haven't told us what's important to you. Do you want regular home time? Do you want good pay? Do you want to drive at night or during the day? List out the things that are most important to you, then email the list to the recruiters and get them to answer how their opportunity relates to the items on your list.
Personally, I would choose FedEx over Schneider. -
Isn't safety squarely in the hands of the DRIVER? Unsafe equipment? Don't move the truck. Unsafe weather conditions? Don't move the truck.

Fed ex hands down

I would keep looking with 6 years of experience you can probably do better.
If you are definitely dead set on picking one of the two I would go with Schneider over Fed Ex. -
Given the large amount of FedEx trucks that wind up in ditches, makes me wonder how much FedEx spent on getting that ATA Presidential safety award.
Chinatown, drvrtech77 and CenutryClass Thank this. -
I'd go with Schneider; less stress. Which one has the best benefits? I'd still take Schneider.
