Thank you for your responsed Wickedfire77. But no, I am not. I am totally new to this. Just want to open up small carrier, book my own loads, and run my own trucks. But as you may know, a lot of brokers don't deal with brand new MC#. This is my whole intention.

Totally new, eh? Member since 2011. 5 posts. I have to wonder if it wouldn't be easier for you to get an mc / dot of your own now, and lease onto land star til time passes and you can work on your reputation. That way you can keep your fleet moving with that big brother strength.

Do you really think brokers and shippers are that naïve? They can and do other checks to find out you're newer in business than those numbers may suggest.

Having a new authority and high, recent appearing numbers is not as big a deal as you may think.

Ha...ha ha...ha ha ha...want to buy somebody's authority huh? Sorry but I don't think anybody's going to sell their authority after being setup and have to go through that b.s. of being a new entrant again. And if they're selling their authority because they're getting out of the business there's a reason for it. Think about it.
